I have worked as a teacher and senior leader for over 25 years, teaching in primary, secondary, grammar and SEND schools, as well as further education and universities.

My experience means I will adapt lessons to each learner's needs and goals, creating a supportive environment to ensure they gain confidence, make academic progress, and feel proud of their achievements.

I am now fully self‑employed and able to offer online lessons at times that suit your schedule. All online sessions are recorded, allowing students to re‑watch and revise whenever they need.

I recognise that online learning doesn’t suit everyone, so please feel free to contact me about my limited availability for home‑education sessions, as well as information on travel and petrol costs.

About Dr Watson Tuition

Fees: I charge a flat rate of £80 per hour for online lessons up to A level. This reflects my qualifications, level of expertise, lesson preparation, and the structured support that I provide, regardless of the student’s age or curriculum.

Lesson fees include an initial assessment of the student's needs and goals, a brief progress report after each lesson, homework tasks as required and access to the recorded lessons for revision.

Non-Examination: maths and science lessons offered in engaging, age-appropriate ways to boost skills, increase confidence and, for highly able learners, extend their learning beyond the curriculum.

GCSE and iGCSE: full support for students across all exam boards. Sessions include targeted revision, exam technique and structured preparation for mock and final examinations. Full GCSE courses are also available for home-educated students and adult learners.

Subjects: maths, human biology, biology, chemistry and physics

A level and i AL Biology tuition: tuition focusses on deep subject understanding, analytical skills, examination technique and preparation for mock and final examinations. Full A-level courses are available for home-educated students and adult learners.

Home Education: For home educating families, I offer flexible pathways that can include a blend of online teaching and practical science or maths activities. Please get in touch to discuss your child's individual needs and long-term goals. Some in-person sessions are available depending on location, with resources, travel and petrol costs quoted individually.

Degree Level: Degree level tuition is available on a bespoke basis. University work varies widely in complexity, preparation time and specialist content, so pricing is available on request.
